Fiber optic patch cord is a patch cord with connectors at both ends that allows integrating servers and other equipment into a single system. Connectors may be of various types ─ FC, SC, LC and combinations thereof. They are UPC and APC polished.

• SC type connectors are convenient and feature high speed and high switching density. They have a plastic housing (wears rapidly, not resistant to vibration). Most often used in SCS (structured cabling systems), data centers, and telecommunications.
• FC type connectors have a metal body (wear less and are resistant to vibration). They have a lower switching density, compared to SC, and are less convenient in operation due to the more complex switching. They are most commonly used in telecommunications, industry, and instrumentation.
• ST type connectors have a metal body (wear less). They have a lower switching density, compared to SC, and are less convenient than SC, but more convenient than FC in switching. They are used in networks where multimode fiber-optic lines are used.
• LC type Connectors have the highest packing density and ease of interconnection. They are less reliable and resistant to mechanical stress due to the small diameter of the ferrule. They are used in SCS, data centers, and telecommunication networks.

We also offer cables with various combinations of connectors such as LC-SC, FC-LC, and other options - these are transition fibers.

Patch cords differ in the number of fibers, distinguishing between Simplex ─ a cord with one fiber and Duplex ─ with two fibers. As to the type of fiber, single-mode and multi-mode products are manufactured.

As to the type of polishing, there are UPC connectors with an almost flat socket and APC connectors with the socket at 8⁰.
